We are not in an office.
We are on the lake.

The Alps, the Paths and the Valleys

Behind the water, the land rises.

The Prealps are a real, accessible territory, with trails and shelters that are covered in snow in winter. Val Grande National Park is Italy's largest wilderness area, a wild territory for those who truly want to get away.

Macugnaga lies at the foot of the east face of Monte Rosa. A Walser village that has retained its identity. In summer, mountaineering and high-altitude trekking are offered, while in winter, skiing and silence reign supreme.

From Mottarone, on clear days, you can see Lake Maggiore, Lake Orta and Monte Rosa simultaneously.

The Villages and the Specialties

Orta San Giulio, Cannobio, Cannero, Stresa, Mergozzo. Villages still vibrant, with their squares, their markets, their rhythms. Each has its own character: the medieval center of Cannobio descending to the lake, the ruined castles on the water of Cannero, the cobblestone streets and views of the island of Orta San Giulio.

The region boasts a cuisine that thrives on its surroundings: lake fish, Ossola cheeses, cured meats from the valleys, Piedmont wines. Restaurants without neon signs but with a waiting list.

A real tradition, which those who seek shall find.

The Lakes, the Gardens, the Islands

Lake Maggiore is wide and open, with a light that changes with the time of day and the season. The Borromean Islands stand in the center as if someone had placed them there on purpose.

Isola Bella, Isola Madre, the terraced gardens that slope down to the water: among the most important historic gardens in Italy.

Lake Orta is smaller and more secluded, with the island of San Giulio at its center and a largely untouched village on the water's edge. Mergozzo is the quietest; one of the cleanest lakes in Europe.

Three lakes, three atmospheres, all reachable within a few kilometers.

A place that is unlike any other place.

Lake, Hill and Mountain.
Milan is less than an hour away. Malpensa even further. Switzerland begins a few kilometers further up, with Locarno reachable in the time it takes to have lunch. It's not a transit area. It's a destination, for those who know what they're looking for.
